Abstract

The racquet for tennis and other games comprises oval frame (Cr) with a main axis of symmetry at right angles to which is a secondary axis of symmetry. A handle extends on the main symmetry axis. The strings fixed to the frame (Cr) extend paralle to the main axis of symmetry, whilst the cross-strings extend parallel to the secondary axis of symmetry. The two middle, longest strings have ends at which the spaces between at least four of the fixture points of the strings on each side of the main axis of symmetry are more than 14 millimetres, measured parallel to the secondary axis of symmetry.
