Abstract
The remove surveillance and control system for a transmission network with a number of transmitter and receiver units, uses one of the transmitter units to provide a pulse time control signal. This contains a marker pulse and a pause with remote control information and the signal is repeated by each successive transmitter-receiver unit. The transmitter-receiver units are coupled to the controlled lines via corresponding sources. The marker pulse of the pulse position modulated test signal represents a double frequency marker pulse obtained by frequency sampling the signal carrier.
