Abstract
The explosive fuse has multiple safety devices and is for use with rockets or missiles. To arm the explosive chain, there is a d.c. electric motor which can reverse the arming process. There are switches in an electronic circuit to test for strength and time of acceleration and propulsive pressure. These control the motor by signals past a given level of acceleration. Safety on the firing ramp is provided by a pressure switch on the ramp to control an electrical supply to the fuse before the missile is launched. For firing the fuse there is a piezo-electric inertia switch.
