Abstract

The mattress evenly distributes the weight of the user and comprises a casing (1) with sides (2, 3) strengthened by reinforced bottom side panels (4, 5). Crosswise and lengthwise slits (8) are directly in contact with the upholstery (6) and are supported at the ends by flexible pieces (9, 10) wich may b metal springs, elastomeric blocks, or inflatable compartments. The ends of the slats (8) have pins with tops which slide vertically in C shaped guide pieces which are screwed onto the sides (2, 3).
