Abstract

The safety helmet for motorcyclists has a hinged visor (2) which is flat at the front to avoid the defraction of the rays of light from oncoming headlights. A telescopic wiper (8), operated by batteries (9), removes drops of rain from the visor. The top of the visor has a rubber joint (5) to seal it to the helmet and the bottom of the helmet has a flexible skirt (6) covering the join to the body. There are two ear flaps (10) in the helmet which are open towards the back.
