Abstract

Method of assaying serum thymus factor (STF) in a sample by mixing the sample with tagged STF and anti-STF antibody and after equilibrium is reached, determining the amt of free and bound tagged STF, then comparing the value obtd. with that, of known standards of increasing quantities of STF. Method is for studying the immunosuppressant system due to T-lymphocytes which can be performed on sera which have been pre-treated to inactivate molecules which usually interfere with assay methods.
