Abstract

The rigid axial coupling unites two coaxial roller-blind winding drums (12, 13) in rotation, and also forms freely rotatable support at the axial extremities of the drums. The coupling is partic. applicable to blinds over coplanar windows sepd. by internally projecting mullions (14). The coupling locates in an opening (28) traversing the mullion (14), connects the and supports the drums (12, 13) of the adjacent windows, and may be used to connect the drums of several adjacent windows. The coupling comprises a length of circular section shaft (19) rotating within a flanged (18) sleeve (16) which is set in the mullion opening. The shaft (19) projects beyond the sleeve (16) at each axial extremity which accommodates a male or a female type coupling formation. The axial extremities of the drums have reciprocal coupling formations with fasteners.
