Abstract

The unit is designed to be made up at low cost from a number of reject wooden pieces. Each unit section consists of a number of wooden bars (1) stock end to end and joined together to form one or more enclosed frames positioned horizontally or vertically. Each bar (1) has a square or oblong cross-section and is not straight, but serrated or wavy so as to interlock at the ends; alternatively, they may be screwed, stuck or pegged together. Each frame contains a panel (4) with chamfered side and front edges. The top, inner edge of the frame is preferably chamfered.
