Abstract

The current controller comprises 7 transformers (T1-7) with secondary windings providing 64, 32, 16, 8, 4, 2 and 1 volts. Each primary is controlled by two electronic switches (I) of which one is conducting and the other is non-conducting. These switches are controlled by a 7-bit binary logic system so as to provide any required voltage up to 127 volts. Thus if the binary counter is set to 0000011, transformers T6 and T7 operate to give 3 volts. 1111111 set on the counter gives an output of 127 volts.
