Abstract

The support bracket consists of a conical plug (4) flanged at the inner end (8) and fitting in the thickness of the furnace wall. The bracket is fixed at the inner end by means of a stud (16) fitted with a nut (7). The bracket (10) has an inner flat face (14) to rest on the flange. The face of the bracket slopes to support an electrical resistance element (13) inside the furnace. The inside of the bracket is packed with refractory fibres.
