Definitions
- Refractory and / or insulating materials in most industrial ovens are increasingly produced as a composite material based on agglomerated fibers.
- the resulting lining is in the form of sheets or light panels, of the order of a few centimeters thick, which line the interior walls of the furnace infrastructure.
- Such materials are ill-suited for fixing the electrical resistors constituting the heating elements of the oven.
- This fixing is currently obtained either by making in the thickness of these materials, chutes open on the oven in which the resistors are arranged, or by anchoring means in dense refractory fixed to the infrastructure of the oven or to a frame. arranged in the tablecloth or the panels.
- the disadvantages of these arrangements are of several orders: one of them lies in the fact that the resistors are more or less enclosed in the trunking, which is particularly true for the resistors arranged in a vault, which significantly reduces the power radiating from these heating elements.
- the present invention intends to remedy these drawbacks by proposing a resistance support device by means of which the mechanical qualities of the refractory and / or insulating material are reinforced allowing the establishment of a lug or support bracket for the resistance itself , which is then supported outside the material without contact with it, thus being able to freely expand or retract and benefiting from a maximum radiation coefficient.
- the lining material in question is insulating and / or refractory according to its density and its composition, this in a known manner.
- the subject of the invention is therefore a device for enabling the support of heating resistors by a wall of fragile packing of poor mechanical quality constituted by an insert in the form of a split sheath housed in a recess in the wall, parallel to its outer face, and opening laterally on said face also by a slot, the profile of the sheath and the profile of the housing being complementary so as to prevent rotation of one relative to the other, and by a bracket, one end of which is housed in said sheath to come into abutment therefrom under the effect of a load applied to its other end located in overhang relative to said outer face of the coating.
- the end of the bracket housed in the sheath is deformed so that the thickness of the volume which it sweeps while being moved perpendicular to the wall is greater than the width of the slot in the sheath.
- bracket with a perpendicular return to form support of the latter on the wall located under said slot.
- a refractory wall 1, or an insulating lining inside an industrial oven comprising a recess 2, here horizontal and parallel to the face 1a of the wall 1, this recess 2 opening onto this wall 1a by a slot 3.
- the recess in FIG. 1 is substantially cylindrical except for two portions 2a and 2b which extend radially outwards from the main part cylindrical, opposite the slot 3.
- a sheath 4 of generally tubular shape has been slid, the external profile of which corresponds to the profile of the recess 2, and to do this comprises two radial wings 4a and 4b housed in the extensions 2a and 2b of l 'Recess, said sheath 4 being open opposite the wings 4a and 4b by a slot 5 which is thus located opposite the slot 3.
- This sheath will preferably be constituted by an insulating refractory material of the ceramic or similar kind.
- the arrangement of the wings 4a and 4b of the sheath 4 in the housings 2a and 2b of the recess 2 prohibits the rotation of the sheath in the housing 2.
- any other form of section achieving this result may be suitable.
- the incorporation of the sheath 4 in the recess 2 will be obtained, preferably by performing an overmolding of the panel around the various sheaths which it comprises, by known manufacturing techniques.
- the device according to the invention also comprises a bracket 6 constituted by a lug 6a and a perpendicular return 6b connected to the lug 6a by a gusset 6c.
- the tab 6a extends beyond the return 6b by an end 7 which is housed through slots 3 and 5 inside the sheath 4.
- This end 7 is deformed so that the thickness E of the volume qu '' it would sweep, if it was moved perpendicular to the face 1a of the wall 1, that is to say less than the width ( e ) of the slots 3 and 5.
- This arrangement constitutes a locking of the stem in the sheath 4.
- a load for example a resistor, or its support, applied to the other end 8 of the tab 6a, in the absence of the return 6b, will tend to rotate this tab around its fulcrum on the lower edge of the slot 5 of the sheath 4, this movement being thwarted by the support of the tab 7 against the inner wall of the sheath 4 which is itself immobilized in rotation against the effect of this torque by the wings 4a and 4b. It can therefore be seen that the quasi-point load that the leg 6a supports is finally transmitted to the refractory wall 1 through the surfaces of the wings 4a and 4b which constitute a distribution such that the characteristics of the wall 1 are compatible with the load by unit of area it collects.
- the return 6b by resting on the outer face 1a of the refractory wall, partially relieves the sheath 4 from the forces it undergoes.
- An optional advantageous arrangement consists of a lug projecting from the sole to penetrate the panel and constitute a locking against stresses tending to rotate the stem around its anchoring. It will also be noted that the end 8 of the tab 6a is shaped so as to receive the heating element or its support. Finally, the stem 6 may have a tab 6 a which forms an acute or obtuse angle with the sole 6 b .
- Figure 2 schematically shows a sheath 4 'whose section is substantially triangular, which constitutes an alternative embodiment of the sheath 4.
- the deformation of the end 7' of the bracket 6 ' will be adapted to the shape of the section of the sheath 4 ′.
- the provisions of the invention can also apply to the support of resistors placed in the vault of an oven.
- a sheath such as 4 ′
- the stem 6 ′ having an end 7 ′ such that, for example, it can be introduced into the slots 3 ′ 5 ′ in a certain orientation and, after introduction, in modifying this orientation, lock said end 7 ′ inside the sheath 4 ′.
- the invention finds an interesting application in the field of construction of industrial ovens.

Abstract
Description
Refractory and / or insulating materials in most industrial ovens are increasingly produced as a composite material based on agglomerated fibers. The resulting lining is in the form of sheets or light panels, of the order of a few centimeters thick, which line the interior walls of the furnace infrastructure.
Such materials are ill-suited for fixing the electrical resistors constituting the heating elements of the oven. This fixing is currently obtained either by making in the thickness of these materials, chutes open on the oven in which the resistors are arranged, or by anchoring means in dense refractory fixed to the infrastructure of the oven or to a frame. arranged in the tablecloth or the panels. The disadvantages of these arrangements are of several orders: one of them lies in the fact that the resistors are more or less enclosed in the trunking, which is particularly true for the resistors arranged in a vault, which significantly reduces the power radiating from these heating elements. Another drawback is due to the expansion of these resistances, and to their retraction, during stops, starts, and modifications of the heating power; the length variations which result therefrom are the cause of a relative movement of the resistances with respect to the walls of the chute which on the one hand causes wear of the resistive wire because the material forming the lining is very abrasive, this wear being the cause a reduction in cross-section and therefore in local overheating of the resistors which can lead to their rupture, and on the other hand leads to a fairly rapid deterioration of the lining itself. This drawback affects the maintenance and upkeep of the furnace in which the resistance failure rate is relatively high. It will also be noted that these provisions fix once and for all the then heater installed per unit area, which depends on the spacing of the trunking and that, moreover in the case of anchors, thermal bridges are formed between the infrastructure and the resistance supports.
The present invention intends to remedy these drawbacks by proposing a resistance support device by means of which the mechanical qualities of the refractory and / or insulating material are reinforced allowing the establishment of a lug or support bracket for the resistance itself , which is then supported outside the material without contact with it, thus being able to freely expand or retract and benefiting from a maximum radiation coefficient. It will be noted that the lining material in question is insulating and / or refractory according to its density and its composition, this in a known manner.
To this end, the subject of the invention is therefore a device for enabling the support of heating resistors by a wall of fragile packing of poor mechanical quality constituted by an insert in the form of a split sheath housed in a recess in the wall, parallel to its outer face, and opening laterally on said face also by a slot, the profile of the sheath and the profile of the housing being complementary so as to prevent rotation of one relative to the other, and by a bracket, one end of which is housed in said sheath to come into abutment therefrom under the effect of a load applied to its other end located in overhang relative to said outer face of the coating.
Preferably, the end of the bracket housed in the sheath is deformed so that the thickness of the volume which it sweeps while being moved perpendicular to the wall is greater than the width of the slot in the sheath.
It will also be preferred to provide said bracket with a perpendicular return to form support of the latter on the wall located under said slot.
The invention will be better understood during the description given below by way of purely indicative and nonlimiting example which will make it possible to identify the advantages and the secondary characteristics thereof.
- FIG. 1 is a schematic sectional view of the device according to the invention,
- - Figure 2 illustrates an alternative embodiment of the device of Figure 1.
In the
A load, for example a resistor, or its support, applied to the
The
An optional advantageous arrangement, not shown, consists of a lug projecting from the sole to penetrate the panel and constitute a locking against stresses tending to rotate the stem around its anchoring. It will also be noted that the
The provisions of the invention can also apply to the support of resistors placed in the vault of an oven. For this purpose, it is possible to use a sheath such as 4 ′, the
The invention finds an interesting application in the field of construction of industrial ovens.
