Abstract

This invention relates to the continuous treatment of slaughter exits or waste. These issues are broken up by heat and the molten material is separated into solids and glue water. The glue water is mixed with the blood of slaughtered animals, this mixture is subjected to coagulation by direct addition of water vapor, and the coagulum is separated into solids and liquids. This treatment significantly reduces the residual fat and protein content in the glue water, which can thus be sent directly to a clarification plant without overloading it.
