Abstract

The efficiency of electroplating baths is monitored automatically during the continuous plating procedure by taking samples of the soln. fed to the cell, and of the spent soln. effecting a dissoln., and detg. the time difference of the dissoln. of the two samples. Pref. dissoln. of the samples is carried out alternately by an electrolysis and electroless procedure. The time difference is used for controlling the feeding of soln. The temp. and electrolysis conditions. Method is accurate and does not interfere with the electrolysis.
