Appareil comprenant un dispositif d'actionnement pour relier sélectivement ledit appareil à une source d'énergie, de premiers moyens excitables pour prélever un signal représentant la distance réelle entre ledit appareil et un objet éloigné de celui-ci, de seconds moyens répondant normalement à l'actionnement dudit dispositif d'actionnement pour rendre lesdits premiers moyens actifs et ensuite effectuer une première fonction souhaitee dépendant du signal prélevé par lesdits premiers moyens, puis une seconde fonction souhaitée et de troisièmes moyens actionnable, manuellement pour effectuer ladite première fonction souhaitée et pour rendre lesdits seconds moyens sensibles à l'actionnement dudit dispositif d'actionnement pour effectuer ladite seconde fonction souhaitée sans effectuer ladite première fonction souhaitée.
