Abstract

The buoy is made from glass fibre to form the float (10). The float is fitted with lifting eyes (23) mounted on the top face and supported by internal tie bars (25). The tower surface of the buoy has a central plate with a shackle (22) and a lower flange (61). An adaptor ring (60) is bolted to the flange to support a lower cone and column under the buoy. The buoy column is made from metal protected against corrosion.
