Abstract

The air vents are formed by elongated openings in the wall of the furnace. The bar has a thickness that corresponds to the breadth of an opening. The bar starts from an initial position in the vent with the end of the bar outside the furnace. It moves towards one end of the opening and outwards through the opening. Then it returns along the opening to the other end of the opening, and finally returns to its starting position.
