Abstract
A rotary cell wheel is fed by a hopper and discharges into a duct, in which material is propelled by compressed air into the borehole. The cell wheel (3) has radial ducts (9) leading from a central chamber which receives a stationary plug (10). Ducts (11, 12) in the plug are connected to a compressed air source and an extract fan respectively. As the cell wheel rotates suction is applied to that cell which is being supplied from the hopper (2) and compressed air is supplied into that cell which is discharging into the duct.
