Abstract

The process involves increasing the fluidity of the prods. by the injection of a fluidising phase which consists of a dry vapour(steam)heated to a temp. higher than that of the prod. to be treated, the precise temp. depending on the physical properties of the prod. The prod. is then filtered through a filter element under a pressure produced by the fluidising phase. The appts. can be used for the treatment of residual slurries from organic prods. such as hydrocarbon slurries. The process and the functioning of the appts. uses very little energy. The construction cost is low. The appts. is capbale of filtering out very small particles (about 100 mu).
