Abstract

The rear-view mirror is mounted on the outside of a vehicle with trailer, and comprises a main arm (16) in which a telescoping rod (18) is accommodated, supporting the mirror itself (22). An auxiliary arm (30) hinges at one end near the outer end of the main one, and the two arms are spring-loaded (50) towards each other. Each has at the other end a clip (32, 34) engaging with the vehicle bodywork, wing, door window edge etc. The clips can consist of plastic-clad metal bodies, adjustable for angle on the arms, being typically secured to them by rivets.
