Abstract

La présente invention concerne le domaine des enveloppes de bandage pneumatiques. L'élément d'insertion pneumatique 14 de l'invention, utilisé en combinaison avec l'enveloppe 12 et la jante 16, possède une forme creuse toroïale présentant des talons annulaires 40 et 42 et des parois latérales 44 et 46 s'étendant à partir desdits talons et reliés à la couronne 48; des volets annulaires 58 et 60 sont reliés à la surface externe des parois latérales, respectivement 44 et 46 et s'étendent au-delà de chaque talon d'une longueur prédéterminée. La jante 16 et l'enveloppe 12 sont de construction classique ; dans un mode de réalisation l'enveloppe est gonflée au moyen d'un élément de passage d'air disposé entre les talons de l'enveloppe et ceux de l'élément d'insertion; la chambre de gonflage 102 de l'enveloppe et la chambre de gonflage 100 de l'élément d'insertion ne communiquent pas et peuvent être gonflées à des pressions différentes. L'invention permet le roulage à plat de l'enveloppe sur une certaine distance.
