Abstract

The decorative trim on motor car bodywork is attached by means of a flexible strip with sloping sides and a dove-tail groove in its upper surface. The lower surface is coated with a layer of self adhesive which is initially covered with a protective film. The protective film is removed and the strip applied to the bodywork. A thin strip of decorative material is pressed into the dove-tail groove and each end of this decorative strip is then bent over the edge of the panel to which the base strip has been attached.
