Abstract

The arrangement is for twisting iron bars, esp. for flat strips, square section and angle iron, in which rods a varyin shapes can be mounted. The arrangement consists of a frame at one end of which a rotating chuck and at the other end of which a clamp is mounted. The chuck and/or the clamp incorporate clamping jaws (10, 10a) which can be moved towards one another. The clamping faces of these jaws have overlapping profiles which are symmetric about the centreline of the chuck. Overlap occurs in at least three regions which are located behind one another.
