Abstract

L'invention est relative à un procédé et à un dispositif pour la fabrication de fibres à partir d'une matière étirable, telle que le verre fondu, par étirage au moyen de courants gazeux, de préférence en deux étapes. Elle consiste essentiellement à engendrer au moins un jet gazeux secondaire, à le dévier selon une trajectoire courbe en le guidant dans un organe déflecteur qui comporte un élément en forme de gouttière dont la concavité est tournée vers le jet dans la région où celui-ci s'écoule dans ladite gouttière. Dans une seconde étape, chaque jet dévié pénètre dans un courant gazeux principal en formant une zone d'interaction dans laquelle la fibre partiellement étirée est introduite pour être soumise à un étirage supplémentaire.The invention relates to a method and to a device for the manufacture of fibers from a stretchable material, such as molten glass, by drawing by means of gas streams, preferably in two stages. It essentially consists in generating at least one secondary gas jet, in deflecting it along a curved path by guiding it in a deflector member which comprises an element in the form of a gutter, the concavity of which is turned towards the jet in the region where the latter s 'flows into said gutter. In a second step, each deflected jet enters a main gas stream forming an interaction zone in which the partially stretched fiber is introduced to be subjected to additional drawing.
