Abstract

The decontamination unit is self-contained and comprises a wheeled trailer fitted with a tank (1) containing the cleaning fluid, a connection (11) for mains water being provided. On top of the tank is a bottle (2) of compressed gas, preferably carbon dioxide. This has a pressure regulator and gauge (4) and is opened by removing a safety pin (6). The gas dispenses the fluid through a shower head (7) mounted on a column at the rear of the unit. Eye douches and other decontamination arrangements can be provided, together with frost protection heaters and safety valves.
