Abstract

Endoprothèses articulaires, par exemple pour prothèses totales de l'articulation de la hanche, dans lesquelles les éléments (cavité 2, tête fémorale 3) adjacents aux surfaces articulaires sont en aluminé Al2 O3 dense et les éléments de fixation (tige fémorale 4) de la prothèse au squelette en composés du silicium avec l'azote ou le carbone, par exemple en nitrure de silicium Si3 N4 ou en carbure de silicium SiC, qui sont comprimés à chaud et possèdent une résistance à la flexion supérieure à 600 N/mm**2. Ces prothèses peuvent être fixées aux éléments du squelette, avec ou sans utilisation d'un ciment synthétique.
