Abstract

The edge-fixing system secures a flexible tapestry sheet (T) etc. to a wall (P) and is for use in the interior decorating field. The edge of the sheet is returned through 180 deg. over a strip (1) with projecting spikes (2) at longitudinal intervals. The spikes (2) are pushed through the returned edge of the sheet (1) and the assembly is then secured by driving the spikes (2) into the wall (P). The fixing strip (1) may be of uniform width metal and the spikes (2) may be formed by 90 deg. cranked triangular flaps at regular longitudinal intervals. For fixing strip in alternative materials the spikes may be formed by tacks, and for hard walls the spikes may be driven into a prefixed lathe (B) of softer material.
