Abstract

A low voltage test probe has luminous indication of applied voltage and contains fuse for safety. The circuit also contains components to permit checking of three phase circuits. Two probes (2, 3) each with contact points (6, 7) are interconnected. One probe (2) has luminescent neon indicator (8) and carries push button (10) to permit operation. The other probe (3) checks value of applied voltage and contains scale (11) on which indicator (12) travels. The neon indicator has resistive and capacitive circuit to permit testing of phase rotation. An additional circuit permits indication of open circuit fuse.
