Abstract

The high security key operates locks with spring-loaded pistons traversing the interface between a rotor and a stator, and is designed to prevent imprints being taken. The key comprises a protective casing (1) of metal or platic and which contains coded movable drawers (2). The casing protects the drawers and permits decoding once inserted in the lock. The drawers may be spring (3) loaded to automatically take up a retracted protected position in the casing. The casing may have windows (5) permitting the registering of the drawer-code by the piston of the lock. The pistons of the lock may themselves be locked by draw-bars which are operated by the key when inserted.
