Abstract

The mop consists of a handle (1) on which are hinged two rigid plates (4, 4a) covered with sponge material (5). The two plates are joined together by small rods. In the middle of the sponge layer (5) is a cavity (7) lined with abrasive material (8), which is retracted when the two plates are in the same plane as each other. The strip of abrasive material (8) is in an operating position when the two plates are folded up on their two pivots (3, 3a). One of the plates has two flaps which are displaced at an angle to the plate and which fit into holes in the central part of the mop to press against the strip of abrasive material.
