Abstract

The machine has a horizontal, rotary table with an annular channel into which dry, raw material is fed by a supply hopper or hoppers. Radial collection pistons move across the annular channel to collect raw material and push it into radially aligned agglomerating cylinders which are advanced to couple to the collection cylinders. A ram is then advanced inside the agglomerating cylinder to compress the raw material. Cam surfaces arranged sequentially around the axis of rotation of the table are pref used to obtain synchronised forward and reverse displacement of pistons, cylinders and rams. Each feed hopper pref. includes a screw conveyor to push raw material down into the annular channel. Compressing dry material into tablets, partic. compacting fibrous fodder into cylindrical tablets.
