Abstract

The drive is for a manure distributor which consists of an elevator and a horizontal conveyor where the scrapers are driven directly or indirectly by cables and drums. Two driving drums of different diameters are mounted on a common shaft, and the cables are wound around the respective drums a similar number of times. This gives power transfer without cable slippage and this ensures continuous coordination of the scrapers between the two units.
