Abstract

La colonne de direction 1 comprend deux arbres axialement alignés 2, 3 solidaires en rotation par un manchon d'accouplement 9. Des moyens de blocage et de déblocage axial 13 d'un des deux arbres par rapport à l'autre sont constitués par des éléments à contact par friction 14 mobiles radialement et coopérant avec le manchon et l'arbre mobile axialement. La commande de blocage est assurée par un élément élastique 25 agissant sur lesdits éléments, et la commande de déblocage est assurée par un élément à commande manuelle 30 susceptible d'agir à l'encontre de l'action exercée par ledit élément élastique. The steering column 1 comprises two axially aligned shafts 2, 3 integral in rotation by a coupling sleeve 9. The locking control is provided by an elastic element 25 acting on said elements, and the unlocking control is provided by a manually controlled element 30 capable of acting against the action exerted by said elastic element. The invention applies in particular to the automotive industry.
