Abstract

The former provides a false ceiling and consists of two dry-joined elements(10, 20). Both elements are of a tray form with a rectangular plan, and the top tray(20) inverts to fit on the lower(10) and form a closed box. The lower tray(10) has vertical walls(12, 13) of uniform height and the base(11) cantilevers out beyond the long walls(13) to provide half soffit-forms(14) for the prim beams. The top tray (20) has a truncated pyramid form when inverted, and the lips of the two trays are reciprocally stepped(16, 26) to provide an interlocking joint .
