Abstract

The base (11) fixed to the beam of a harvester has two converging arms suspended from it. The ends of the arms (1, 2) have inclined cutters (4) which diverge in the direction of advance of the harvester, forming a funnel. The arms (1, 2) are fixed to the ends of a swinging lever (13). Elastic dampers (16, 16) are associated with the two arms of the lever. The lever (13) comprises two identical levers spaced from and parallel to one another, between which the arms (1, 2) are mounted. The lever is pivotally mounted at a central hinge (14). The base has a cruciform section.
