Abstract

Dispositif d'affichage plat du type comprenant une enveloppe mise sous vide munie d'une pluralité de parois de support espacées s'étendant jusqu'à une paroi portant un écran de phosphore et formant entre elles des canaux, des moyens pour engendrer des faisceaux d'électrons et des moyens pour diriger un faisceau au moins dans chacun desdits canaux sur l'écran de phosphore, ce dispositif étant en outre caractérisé en ce que ledit écran de phosphore comprend des groupes répétitifs de corps de différents phosphores émettant de la couleur, espacés sur l'écran, un corps déterminé dans certains de ces groupes étant remplacé par un corps d'un matériau non lumineux, chacun des corps déterminés restants étant de la largeur sensiblement égale à celle du faisceau électronique qui vient le frapper, chacun des autres corps de phosphore émettant de la couleur présentant une largeur inférieure à celle du faisceau d'électrons qui le frappe et la largeur combinée de chacun des autres corps de phosphore émettant de la couleur et les espaces de chaque côté desdits autres corps de phosphore émettant de la couleur étant sensiblement égaux à la largeur du faisceau électronique venant frapper lesdits corps.
