Abstract

L'invention décrit un procédé perfectionné d'obtention de l'oxyde de propylène par oxydation du propylène à l'aide d'un sel thallique. On opère en présence d'un milieu aqueux contenant un acide alcanoïque (ayant au moins 5 degrés C) et éventuellement en présence d'un solvant organique. Le procédé donne très peu de sous-produits carbonylés. L'oxyde de propylène est un solvant (laques et vernis) et un intermédiaire de synthèse (alcool propylique, plastifiants et mouillants).
