Abstract
Precise angular tracking of an objective is obtained from a radar receiver which does not require very precise mechanisms in the aerial control system. A moving target is tracked using monopulse aerial producing bearing and direction signals and a sum signal. Signals are processed identically and passed to phase loop with phase discriminator to obtain differences in phase. These processed signals are converted to digital signals. Direction and bearing error signals are obtained and decoded to analogue signals to control antenna position servomechanisms.
