Abstract
Pour mesurer la vitesse d'écoulement massique d'un courant de gaz ou de liquide dans un conduit, un rotor 10 se déplace en va-et-vient linéaire 15, transversalement par rapport à la direction d'écoulement 16 du fluide, de façon à exercer un moment linéaire transversal sur le courant Ce rotor est soumis à une oscillation forcée, on mesure l'énergie nécessaire pour maintenir cette oscillation, et à partir de cette mesure on obtient une mesure de la vitesse d'écoulement massique du courant de fluide. En variante, le rotor est soumis par intermittence à une oscillation linéaire non forcée qui est affaiblie par le courant de fluide traversant le rotor, et le taux d'affaiblissement de cette oscillation est mesuré et utilisé pour fournir une mesure de la vitesse d'écoulement massique du courant
