Abstract

In the former-folder arrangement, the partial webs (23, 27) run in each case via a former folder (33, 37). Two further partial webs (25, 29) run over formers (35, 39) disposed at a lower level. The longitudinally folded partial webs (23, 25, 27, 29) run via feed rolls (43, 45) to transverse cutting devices (51). Upstream of the transverse cutting devices (51), equalisation devices for each of the partial webs (23, 25, 27, 29) are provided, with which equalisation devices the registration accuracy of the entire layer can be maintained. By means of the equalisation devices, the different web lengths of the partial webs (23, 25, 27, 29) between the cutting roll of a longitudinal cutting device and of the transverse cutting device (51) can be equalised.
