Abstract

Each pole contains a tubular sleeve, enclosing a light arc quenching chamber. The assembly is contained in a common housing filled with insulating gas of high dielectric strenght. Between the sleeves are formed connecting paths, coupling also the common housing (9). The connecting paths enclose two end chambers (12, 13) on either side of the respective pole (1). The connection to the common housing is provided by slots (16, 18) and with the poles (1) via a pair of accession apertures (15, 17) on opposite ends of the tubular sleeves (12). The end chambers are formed by two containers inserted into opposite ends of the tubular sleeves of all poles. They are bounded by walls (7, 8), abutting the common housing and mounting the poles.
