Abstract

Dans la présente invention le récipient 21 tournant autour de son axe vertical est éclairé intérieurement par une source lumineuse 28. La lumière émise, traversant les parois latérales du récipient, est recueillie par deux paires de cellules photosensibles 32, 33 et 34, 35. Chaque signal de sortie des cellules est amplifié logarithmiquement par des amplificateurs 36 et filtré afin d'éliminer les différences d'amplitudes entre signaux qui ne sont pas causées par la détection d'une couture ou d'un défaut dans la paroi du récipient. Les signaux de sortie sont ensuite comparés par des comparateurs 41 avec quatre signaux de référence, tous introduits dans un circuit logique 44 qui détermine si les signaux répondent à certaines conditions permettant de distinguer les coutures des autres défauts.
