Abstract

The optical analyser for transparent fluid, e.g. gases at very low temp. or corrosive gases or liquids, directs a light parallel beam into the fluid flow and detects the reflected light. It comprises an open tube with at least one axial mirror (6) and one annular mirror (3) aligned with the tube axis, each having a conical reflective surface. Pref. at least one of the mirrors (3) has a concave curvature and the parallel light rays are reflected from the axial mirror (6) radially outwards onto the annular mirror (3), which focusses them to a point (1) within the fluid flow.
