Abstract

A solar energy collector with a tubular casing contains a metal blade in this casing. The casing also encloses a U-shaped tube, the legs of which extend to outside the casing. One of the legs of the U-tube inside the casing is in contact with the metal blade. The other leg is not. A series of such solar energy cells may be connected in series via the legs of the U-tube, to form a network. Avoids the problems of leakage due to expansion encountered by existing similar types of solar cell.
