Abstract

Insulating element (1) for a suspension grip of an aerial cable and in particular for a suspension grip fitted with a hook. The hook being suspended from a bracket fixed to a pole. The element (1) is made from a piece of moulded insulating material. One part is in the form of a cradle (7) designed to mate with the gutter form of the grips body. Another part (13) is a clamp which is designed to be applied against the cable so as to clamp it in the gutter. The clamp (13) is connected to the cradle by a zone (14) which forms a hinge. Means are provided for fixing the insulating element to the body of the grip.
