Abstract

Dans la machine selon l'invention un microphone 10 à audiofréquence convertit le son en un signal électrique qui est introduit dans un préprocesseur analogique 12. Ce dernier divise le signal analogique en tranches de temps, convertit chaque tranche en information numérique qu'il mémorise. L'information numérique est introduite ensuite dans l'analyseur de spectre 14, puis dans un convertisseur analogique-numérique 16. Les signaux numériques obtenus à la sortie sont traités par un micro-processeur 18. Selon que la machine fonctionne en mode << enseignement >> ou en mode << reconnaissance >>, le micro-processeur fera mémoriser l'information dans une mémoire de vocabulaire ou la fera comparer à chacun des mots mémorisés dans la mémoire 22. La présente invention est notamment applicable à l'étude d'un vocabulaire et à la reconnaissance des mots de ce vocabulaire lorsqu'ils sont prononcés.
