Abstract
The brake is furnished with two jaws (1, 2) acting on the disc (3). The jaws are lined with brake material (4) and (5). The disc located by means of through bolts (7) acting against coil springs (18, 19) on either side of the disc. The same bolt also supports the electromagnet housing (13) which carries the coil (17). Coil springs (16) housed in the electromagnet casing press against the jaw (1). The through bolt (7) is furnished with a number of shaped grooves (20) at the free end. The grooves are in contact with the guide plates (22) which prevent reverse movement of the bolt and take up the wear in the plates.
