Abstract

The strip has an outside surface(24) and tapered edges(21, 26) which contact the car body. The strip has a support rib(27) and an attachment strip(28) with a groove(28a) on the lower side and equally spaced bosses on the upper side. The fixing stud(22) has a stem(23) fitted with serrations to prevent it being withdrawn. The stud has a head with parallel grooves(31). The grooves are sized to take the rib(28) of the strip. The peg(33) fits under the rib(27). Similar fixing may be used for fixing studs having the fixing peg perpendicular to the strip.
