Abstract

The casement bolt drive mechanism has a driving pinion in a housing and which can be coupled to a handle. It has two drillings or tapped holes on opposite sides of the pinion axis to accommodate the handle hub. The housing (1) is narrowed at the positions of the drillings (12, 13) compared to the portion accommodating the pinion, at least on the side furthest from the hub. It can be in one piece, being made of steel sheet bent into a U, the central part of which works with the casement bolt link (9), being shaped to act as a guide for the latter. The arms of the U can bear against each other where the drillings are situated.
