Abstract

Procédé et appareillage pour détecter les fuites dans les modules à membrane à fibres creuses constituées d'un logement contenant des paquets de fibres creuses dont une extrémité au moins est obturée. On fait agir un gaz sous pression sur les surfaces extérieures des fibres à l'intérieur du logement, étant précisé que ce gaz doit avoir un indice de réfraction différent de celui de l'atmosphère ambiante, et on observe par des dispositifs optiques de types connus les phénomènes de réfraction provoques par des fuites éventuelles de gaz dans la région contiguë à l'extrémité obturée du module. Le procédé selon l'invention permet de contrôler l'étanchéité de modules à membrane sans les mouiller.
