Abstract

The lining for a ceiling or partition wall is fixed to the existing ceiling or wall by means of flexible, parallel wires which are stretched taut and are intersected by other parallel wires. A flat, flexible mesh is thus formed. Each intersection constitutes a node which is fixed to the existing wall or ceiling by means of attachments on flexible pins which deaden the transmission of noise and vibration. Fireproof panels form the lining, possessing sufficient mechanical strength for hooks to be fixed at set intervals around the edge, in a staggered formation.
